The development fee has been paid.
The city has informed us that a building permit cannot be issued until after a pre-construction conference is held. The city employees who must attend that meeting will not all be available until Wednesday, June 6th. The contractor will work on whatever items he can in the meantime. (It is not possible to place concrete, nor to excavate for such things as sewer or water lines or electric services until the building permit is issued).
The contractor continued with footings preparation and began setting them to grade.
• The attached photo shows the job site and some of the
equipment that has been used. Calvin Mertz and Kenny Thomas, shown in
the photos, are setting forms to proper alignment.
• The photo inset in the lower right corner shows a laser
level set up to provide a known elevation for establishing grade.
• The lower left photo inset shows the operation of
bringing the footings up to grade and nailing them in place.
