This is the day that the parking lot turned black as the paving crew completed its work. The general contractor also poured two slabs adjacent to the building, one on the east side and the other on the west side. Parking lot striping will be painted next week.

The remainder of the concrete work and the water, sewer, and storm drain systems will be completed next week. The telephone, gas, and power connections will be made by the utility companies with the only remaining requirement for us being digging the telephone trench along the east and north property lines to the building pad. I expect to have that done about the first week in August.

The building steel frame is still scheduled for delivery in a little over two weeks and we will probably be ready for the exterior rock work we have agreed to do about two weeks after that. Things are really moving along.

I will have the detailed landscape design Monday and will take it to Sprinkler Supply so they can do their design. We will be able to start installing the sprinkler system in early August also. Looks like August will be busy time for our congregation on the site.

Photos in order include the first asphalt being laid down, the paving machine close up, the roller compacting the hot asphalt paving material, the concrete pad on the east side of the building, and the completed parking lot looking from the front entry of the building.
