Hello Mtn.Vista!

April has been a very exciting month for our youth. We recently had a chance to go Laser Tagging. It was a great time. All the youth had awesome code names such as: Wolf, Jorge, Barbie just to name a few.

We also just recently hosted our second annual talent show at Mt Vista. We had seven very talented acts that ranged from singing, dancing, clogging, Piano, and Guitar. We were able to raise right around $100 for our youth through the show. That money will specifically go to help kids that will be attending missions this year (either to Mexico or Montana). Thank you very much to the parents, friends, and other relatives that came out to support our awesome youth!! We shall soon be planning another outing to go paint balling. I will keep people in touch about that in the near future.

I know there are some parents and kids whose e-mail's I still don't have. E-mail is my primary way to keep all of you updated on what is happening with the youth program here at Mt. Vista. If you would like to send me your e-mail so I can place it in my directory, that would be great!!

Spring Fling! Friday evening, May 2nd through Saturday morning, May 3rd, 7th-12th grade. Join other youth groups for a Concert at Hunter High School and then an entire night at the WVC Fitness Center playing basketball, ping pong, racquetball, swimming, ice-skating and lots more activities!

Pinecliff Junior High Retreat (Grades 7-9) June 13-15
An incredible weekend retreat for Mid-High Youth. Meet new friends, share your faith and have a week full of fun stuffed into this amazing weekend.
Camp books and registration forms are in the back of the sanctuary. Cost is $65 Director Linda Hartney

Youth Mission June 30 – July 8th, 2008
with Christ UMC to Casa Hogar Orphanage in Mexico. Open to youth currently in grades 10th-12th - limited spaces available
Spanish classes 1st Sunday of each Month 10:30 CUMC Youth Room.

SUPPORT YOUTH MISSION TRIPS:
~Youth Missions Stock:$10 a share will get you dinner and a slide show at CUMC & a letter from your missionary. For more information just talk to Luke Peralez or Scott Reinhard.
~ Work at the Energy Solutions Snack bar! Looking for people between the ages of 16 - 99 who would be interested in helping raise $$ for the Mountain Vista Youth going on a Youth Missions Trip this summer (coordinated through Christ UMC).
