October 2004 News

WOW!!! After months and months of preparation Lifeline College and Young Adult Fellowship is off and running. Thank you to all of you in the congregation who have come up to me with your encouraging words about starting this very vital ministry of the church. We had our very first meeting on Sunday September 12^th. We discussed our goals and did some planning for the month of October.

Lifeline Bible Study

We will have our first Bible Study on Sunday October 17^th. We will be studying the book of Galatians. Our Bible Studies will be held on the 1^st, 3^rd, and 5^th Sundays of the month at the church at 1p.m.

The DaVinci Code Seminar

Friday October 1^st Lifeline CYF will be hosting a seminar on the book The DaVinci Code. A professor from Salt Lake Theological Seminary will be presenting this seminar. Refreshments will be served at 6:30pm and the seminar will start at 7:00pm. If you haven’t already read the book it will be great to read it before the seminar. Also this is a great opportunity to invite your friends who normally don’t attend church.

Outings

On Friday October 15^th we will be going to play pool up in Salt Lake City. The cost is $2.50 per game plus $1.00 to get in. You may bring extra money for snacks. We will be meeting at the church at 6:00p.m. to carpool. Casting Crowns will be in concert in Idaho on Saturday October 23^rd. If you are interested in going please let me know.

Sunday Lunch

Sunday October 24^th we will be going to Wendy’s in Jordan Landing. Feel free to invite a friend who may not attend our church to join us for lunch.

It’s our vision to reach out to those outside of our church especially to those who are non-churches and to be a totally non-denominational ministry. If you know of anyone who attends another church that doesn’t have a college group at their church, doesn’t attend church at all, or someone who you think my benefit from this ministry please let me know.
