This was a very productive day. The footings forms were stripped and John Vickers' crew backfilled and compacted in preparation for setting the foundation wall forms. The section of curb and gutter along the west edge of the parking lot was poured and the foundation for curb and gutter along the south side of the entrance drive was prepared for the forms.

Our timing was great as the irrigation water was in the ditch and available for moisture control of the compacted material and for dust control. I met with Geneva Rock Products and set up direct billing to the church which will exempt us from the sales tax on these materials. I have a new schedule for the project from Furst which shows our control being the delivery and erection of the Butler steel frame. Delivery is now scheduled for July 23. Meanwhile we will be installing the utilities, pouring the floor slab, and finishing the parking lot.

The greatest news of all is that the City staff has agreed to honor the commitment in our right of way agreement to install the sidewalk and driveway approach including the piping of the irrigation ditch. This work will connect the sidewalk in front of the LDS church to the north with the sidewalk on 9000 South.

Specifically our schedule calls for Masonry (the exterior rock) to be placed Aug 20-Sept 4 and for the landscaping to be done Sept 4-Sept 12. We will be able to install the sprinkler system some time in July.

Today's photos show the backfilled footings, the curb and gutter along the west edge of the parking lot, and the prepared base for the curb and gutter on the south side of the entry drive.
